100TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF LATE SMT. KAUSHALYA BALI The 100’ birth anniversary
of revered Smt. Kaushalya Bali, w/o the late Major K. R. Bali was celebrated on the 7’ June 2013, at the Mohyal School, Dehradun.
Smt. Bali was a hardworking, religious, pious and a staunch Mohyal, fully  devoted to the well-being of the community. Before her demise, she had bequeathed all her properties, including the one at 1-3 Gurudwara Road, Dehradun, to the GMS. It was the wish of both the late Major K.R. Bali & Smt. Kaushalya Bali that this property be used for the welfare of the Mohyal community as well as the public, in general, preferably for education of poor children. To fulfill their wish, the GMS had started a nursery school in the building, on the 2nd April 2007, which has now progressed to class 5and, hopefully, class 6 will be added during the next session. In order to remember her good deeds, her 100th birth anniversary was celebrated at her old house, which is currently housing the Major K. R. Bali Mohyal School Dehradun, To start with, Shri 0. P. Mohan, Sr. Vice President, Shri S. K. Chhibber Secretary (Finance), & Smt. Krishan Lata Chhibber, Secretary (Matrimonial), (all of whom represent ted the GMS), Dr. Avdesh Dutta, her grandson, and Shri N. K. Dutta, former President, MS Dehradun, garlanded the photos of the late Smt. Kaushalya Bali & the late Major. K. R. Bali. All others present offered floral tributes to them. This was followed by Havan & Aath and distribution of Prasad. Smt. Shanta Dutta, dlo the late Major. K. R. Bali, had come all the way from New Delhi, with her son, to pay their homage to the late Smt. Kaushalya Bali. A number of other relatives also had attended the function. Sweet and brunch were served to all the guests.
