The meeting began with the recitation of Mohyal prayer, led by Smt.Krishan Lata Chhibber.<br />
Initiating the process for election of the office bearers of the GMS Managing Committee, Maj. Gen. K.K. Bakshi (Retd.), Chief Election Commissioner, informed the house that it was the requirement of<br />
the GMS constitution that the office bearers are elected by the members of the GMS Managing Committee, every year; but, for some compelling reasons as indicated by GMS functionaries this<br />
could not be done earlier. He added that the Election Committee proposes to conduct the election to a new team of office bearers now, in which only the members of the Managing Committee are<br />
eligible to vote & likewise, only the members of the Managing Committee are allowed to speak in the matter. Shri BM. Datta, Election Commissioner, also addressed the MC Members and explained the constitutional provisions in regard to the elections.Thereafter, the election process formally commenced.Maj. Gen. K.K. Bakshi first called for nominations for the post of President. The name of Rzd. BD. Bali was proposed by Shri OP.Mohan of Rohini/Pitampura, and seconded by Ch. G.L. Dutta 'Josh' and Shri K.N. Mohan of Janakpuri. Since there was no other nomination, the Election Committee declared 'Rzd. BD. Bali' as President, unopposed, amidst cheers from the house.<br />

After the recitation of Gayatri Mantra and Mohyal prayer, led by Col. Yudhvir Bakshi, the meeting was adjourned for 5 minutes, due to<br />
lack of quorum; and was re-convened to transact the business, as per the Agenda circulated.<br />
Welcome Address by the President Rzd. K.K. Bali: The President welcomed all the members and thanked them for sparing their<br />
valuable time to attend the AGM of the sabha. He highlighted the activities of the sabha, viz.,<br />
(a) holding monthly meetings of the sabha regularly, the minutes of which are published in the Mohyal Mitter.<br />
(b) actively participating in the programmes of the OMS, such as meetings of Presidents and Secretaries of local Sabhas, honouring of<br />
Pratibhashali students for their academic achievements, attending the inaugural function of Vrindavan Ashram & Mohyal Diwas and<br />
collection of contributions for Uttarakhand Relief Fund, in response to the appeal from Mohyal Ratna Rzd. BD. Bali, President, OMS.<br />
The President said that the sabha has associated itself with the Janakpuri Dharmik and Samjik Mahasangh, which is playing a pivotal<br />
role in bringing all religions and social organizations, such as Sanatan Dharam Mandirs, Arya Samaj, Gurudwaras, Jam Mandirs, Residents<br />
Welfare Associations etc for jointly celebrating religious functions, such as Ram Navami, Dusshera, Guru Purab, Swami Dayanand<br />
Sarasvati's Prakash Utsav etc. The sabha had set-up a Stall at the recently-held Shri Bhagwan Ram Rath Yatra, which was greatly<br />
appreciated by the Janakpuri residents. The President thanked the members for their kind co-operation and support to the sabha, by way<br />
of donations.<br />
Obituary References: Shri Satish Chand Bakshi, Vice-President, read out the names of the members/their near relatives, who had left<br />
for their heavenly abode, since the last AGM. The house observed Iwo minutes' silence, in the memory of the departed souls and prayed<br />
to Almighty God to grant them eternal peace.<br />
Confirmation of Minutes: The minutes of the last General Body meeting, held on 01.07.2012, already circulated, were unanimously<br />
approved.<br />
Report on the activities of the Sabha: Smt. Salika Mehta, Jt. Secretary, read out the report on the various activities undertaken by the<br />
sabha, during the period under report, highlighting, among other things, the holding of regular monthly meetings, the minutes of which<br />
are published in the Mohyal Mitter, sending of New Year Greetings through a beautifully designed card, extending greetings to the<br />
members and their spouses, on their birthdays/wedding anniversaries, enrolling Life Members of the GMS and MS Janakpuri. She also<br />
briefly stated the present financial position of the sabha and informed the house that the sabha can now be contacted on its email<br />
address: mohyaIsabha/anakîuri(yahooin. The house gave her a big applause.<br />
<b>Presentation of audited accounts:</b> Shri Rajesh Mohan, Member, Executive Committee, presented the audited accounts for the year<br />
2012-13, which were unanimously approved by the house.<br />
<b>Amendment to the Constitution:</b> The President informed the house that, with a view to overcoming the difficulties being experienced<br />
by the sabha, he had constituted a Committee, comprising of: (1) Col. Yudhvir Bakshi, Chairman, (2) Shri BM. Datta, Member and (3)<br />
Shri D.K. Mehta (Chhibber), Convener, to consider and recommend suitable amendments to the Constitution of the sabha, to ensure<br />
smooth functioning of the sabha. The Committee had submitted its recommendations, which had been accepted by the Executive<br />
Committee and were submitted to the General Body for consideration and approval. He then invited Shri D.K. Mehta, Convener, to give<br />
detailed explanations about, and pilot the amendments, clause by clause. He explained the difficulties experienced by him as Returning Officer to conduct the sabha's elections, because of certain provisions of the Constitution. He circulated the draft amendments, indicate-ing the existing clauses and proposed amendment clauses, for consideration and approval of the house. After considerable discussions,<br />
the house unanimously resolved to approve the amendments as under:-<br />

The Sabha will have one Patron. The outgoing President of<br />
the Sabha who completes the full term will be the Patron for the<br />

TERMS OF OFFICE:<br />
Thus elected working committee shall hold office ordinarily for a period of two years or until their successors are elected. A vacancy in the working committee including of President can be filled by the working committee by co-option from the Members of the Sabha subject to ratification by the general body. In the absence of the President, the Vice-President will act as President.<br />
<br />
No Office-bearer will hold office for more than Iwo consecutive terms. All Office bearers shall be from Janakpuri only.<br />
<b>AMENDED CLAUSE<br />CLAUSE 3(A)<br />PATRON</b><br />

Holding of Mohyal Mela: The house discussed the desirability of holding Mohyal Mela towards the end of 2013, or early 2014, keeping<br />
in view the expenditure involved. The President invited the members to express their views in the matter. Maj. S.S. Daifa, 5/Shri BM.<br />
Daifa, KL. Vaid, Bhai Inderjit Chhibber, Atul Lau and Vinay Bali expressed their views in favour of holding a grand Mohyal Mela, on a<br />
date convenient to Mohyal Ratna Rzd. BD. Bali, President, OMS, whose visit to Janakpuri, was long overdue. The President then<br />
sought the views of all members present, whether they supported the proposal and the entire house gave its approval in one voice with<br />
shouts of Jai Mohyal.<br />
Donation to Mela Fund: The house was informed that, in anticipation of their approval the sabha had set-up a Mela Fund, to which<br />
donations have already been received. On-the-spot donations were made by the following:<br />
Maj. S.S. Daifa Rs.1000/-<br />
(He has further announced to donate Rs.lOOI- every month).<br />
Col. Yudhvir Bakshi Rs. 500/- Bhai Inderjit Chhibber Rs. 500/-<br />
Rzd. K.K. Bali, President, promised to donate Rs.5000/- and, as was done last year, all Executive Committee members were requested<br />
to donate a minimum of Rs.2000/- each.<br />
Birthdays/Wedding Anniversaries: The house extended its greetings to all members and their spouses, who are celebrating their<br />
birthdays/wedding anniversaries in the month of October and wished them good health and long life.<br />
Donations: 1. Rs.500/- by Shri G.L. Daifa "Josh", on his birthday.<br />
2. Rs.250/- by Shri D.K. Mehta (Mohan), on his birthday on 8.8.2013.<br />

Welcome by Baby Simridhi Mehta: Before the commencement of the meeting, Baby Simridhi Mehta (4 years) d/o Smt. Salika Mehta<br />
& Shri Vivek Mehta and granddaughter of Smt. Rupa Mehta & Shri D.K. Mehta, came to the dais and welcomed all present in her sweet<br />
voice. Everybody admired her gesture and gave her a big applause.<br />
Maj. S.P. Bali Sets Example: Maj. SP. Bali had earlier expressed his inability to attend, as he was to catch a flight for Srinagar, for<br />
which the reporting time was 11.00 am, clashing with the starting time of the meeting. To the utter surprise of all, Maj. SP. Bali and his<br />
granddaughter dropped in on their way to the airport and Ms. Swati delighted everyone with a touching song in her melodious voice. That<br />
is what is called "True Mohyali Spirit".<br />
Vote of Thanks: Col. Yudhvir Bakshi proposed a vote of thanks to all brothers and sisters, who had come to attend the AGM. He also<br />
thanked the Management of Shri Geeta Mandir, for allowing us to hold the meeting and also to the President and Secretary of Bharat<br />

The Faith

A farmer’s daughter’s duty was to carry fresh milk to customers in various villages. One customer was a priest. To reach his house, the milkmaid had to cross a good-sized stream. People crossed it by a sort of ferry raft, for a small fee.

One day the priest, who used to offer fresh milk to the Gods during the daily </span><span style="font-size: small; font-style: italic;">

was annoyed that the milk arrived late. He scolded the woman. What can I do?” she said, 1 start out early from my house, but I have to wait a long time for the boatman to come”.

The priest retorted: “What! People have walked across the ocean by repeating the name of God, and you can’t cross this little stream?” The milkmaid took him seriously. From then on, every morning, she was on time. The priest became curious about it and asked her how it was that she was never late any more.
 <br />
“I cross the river repeating the name of the Lord,” she replied, just as you told me to do, without waiting for the ferry.” The priest didn’t believe her. He asked:” Can you show me this, how you cross the river on foot?” So they went together to the water and the milkmaid began to walk over it. Looking back, the woman saw that the priest had started to follow her and was floundering in the water.

<span class="null">It was great to meet today (25 July 2013) with our 
'GMS' President Raizada B.D.Bali sahib ji and myself representing a few 
Mohyals of Lambra. It was a one to one meeting at his Delhi office where
 we had approximately 90 minutes super exchange of views for the welfare
 & betterment of our community... A detailed exchange of positive 
thoughts shall be added on MWW and other forums by tomorrow. There were 2
 points to be presented in the Agenda. 1) To seek his kind elderly 
blessings. 2) To discuss some issues in details regarding Mohyal Sabha 
Lambra v/s Lambra Mohyal Sabha affiliation & enrollment of pending/ 
declined Mohyal applicants as GMS permanent life members .......... We 
hope that our GMS-President sahibji along with his team of office 
bearers shall help all our Mohyals to find a simplified solution to 
overcome the existing & known crises at Lambra village. 
We also had a few other points which we randomly discussed in details 
which with a happy note considered in our precious meeting favorable 
towards our Mohyal community.

tomorrow on MWW.
I personally thank our great GMS leader Raizada B.D.Bali Sahibji for his
 extended hospitality on my visit to his office and his help towards 
us,in-spite of his hectic schedule to consider/solve our Mohyal's 
collectively laid points and suggestions that he would further consult 
GMS office bearers to be considered if correct with a favorable decision
 for the welfare of our Mohyal biradari.
Our best wishes to him for his good health and long life, guiding us and
